INDEPENDENT LIVING
MORE

For seniors who wish to live independently in their own residence yet want the conveniences of living within a community that provides luxury services and amenities such as housekeeping, social activities, fine dining, transportation, security, live performances, and civic engagement opportunities.

They may operate on a fee-for-service basis: you pay for only the extra help you need, only when you need it. Seniors that fit best in an independent living setting are typically looking for social, educational and recreational opportunities to enrich their lives.

ASSISTED LIVING

A group residence community, in which residents live in individual apartments but receive personal care support services such as housekeeping, medication management, day/night supervision, bathing/dressing, transportation and exercise programs. There is a calendar of social activities throughout the day, as well as meals provided in a fine dining atmosphere.

It is a great fit for seniors who have had a slight decline in health and need assistance performing one or more activities of daily living (ADLs). Residents live independently in a safe environment. Assisted living communities differ from nursing homes in that they don’t offer complex medical services.

RESIDENTIAL BOARD & CARE HOMES
MORE

This is a unique option that offers a cozy family setting in a residential home. Board & care homes offer meals/snacks, medication management and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s). Most homes accommodate six residents, each with their own private or semi-private room. They are licensed by the state of CA.

Residents receive more intimate, one on care than in an assisted living community. This is a great choice for seniors that have cognitive decline along with all types of dementia. Ideally, these are for residents who cannot live independently but do not require regular nursing care. They do not offer complex medical services.

Long-term care that caters to seniors with cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s and all types of dementia.  Typically, the residents live in private or semi-private rooms and have scheduled activities designed to enhance memory, supervised by trained staff members.

Memory care allows a person experiencing memory loss to maintain a level of independence while relying on the safety and security of being in a residential facility with a professional staff that ensure their quality of life. The perimeters are secured for the safety of the resident.

SKILLED NURSING

Nursing homes offer long-term care to those who are chronically ill or unable to manage their own daily living needs. They offer planned activities, meals, housekeeping and assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s).  They are staffed by nurses, and physicians who provide medical care 24 hours a day.

Nursing homes also provide short-term rehabilitative stays following a surgery, illness or injury which may require physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech-language therapy.
